F-1000 is a polymer modified pozzolanic cementitious self-leveling underlayment for use with new and existing floors and decks, interior or exterior. Packaged in dry powder form, the product requires the addition of clean water over properly primed substrates.

  • A remarkable balance of low water demand and superb workability that dramatically decreases water permeability.
  • Pumpable, self leveling and open to light traffic in two to four hours.
  • Effective from feather edge to 2" thickness on concrete, masonry, terrazzo and ceramic subfloors.
  • Effective from feather edge to 2" thickness on wood subfloors.

Limitations

Apply only at temperatures between 40°F and 95°F. Do not use over press wood, chipboard, masonite or similar unstable materials.

Surface Preparations

Substrates must be solid, clean and free from dust, oil, grease, paint, wax sealers or any deleterious substance which may act as a bond barrier. Priming using P-100 primer is recommended on all surfaces. Prime according to instructions.

APPLICATION
for Concrete, Masonry, Terrazzo & Ceramic Tile Sub-Floors

These sub floors must be primed with Fritz P-100 Acrylic Primer diluted one to one. Apply the diluted primer at a coverage rate of 250-275 sq. ft. per gallon. Allow to dry one to two hours, but no more than 12 hours.

Mixing: The entire bag of F-1000 should be mixed in a clean mixing container. While mixing by hand, add water until a desired trowelable, lump free consistency is achieved. The recommended mixing ratio is 3½ parts powder to 1 part water by volume. DO NOT OVER-WATER!

APPLICATION
for Wood Sub-Floors

Use Fritz P-100 Acrylic Primer. Allow to dry one hour, but no more than 12 hours. After the primer is dry, staple or nail a thin diamond metal lathe mesh to floor.

Mixing: Mix 50 lbs. Fritz F-1000 Underlayment with one gallon water plus ½ gallon P-100 Primer. Spread Fritz Underlayment on to the floor surface as quickly as possible after mixing. Smoothing characteristics are retained during the first fifteen to twenty minutes. Spread the material with a steel straight edge or flat edge hand trowel or rubber squeegee. No surface troweling is necessary, as the material is selfleveling. For best results, spread in a continuous flow. Allow to set. Underlayment can be walked on in three to four hours after installation, and covered with flooring materials 12 to 18 hours later. Protect from traffic, dirt and dust until final floor covering material is installed.

NOTE

Care must be taken in using the recommended ratio of water when mixing. Any variation in the amount of water used in the mix will affect the working and performance characteristics, and the self-leveling properties.
