DESCRIPTION: Poz-Patch 2 is a two-component system consisting of a pozzolanic, cementitious powder and co-polymer latex emulsion which are mixed prior to use to produce a highly resilient, freezthaw stable, fast-setting underlayment. It is formulated to provide superior compressive and flexual strengths and is for interior and exterior use. It is ideal for use on flexible substrates such as plywood, as well as for wood flooring, vinyl, terrazzo, ceramic tile and other compatible coverings. Poz-Patch 2 can be poured and trowled from featheredge to 2" thickness in one operation, and can be used on, above, and below grade. Priming is recommended on all surfaces, especially on substrates of high porosity or subject to hot, dry, windy conditions. Follow priming instructions that are printed on the container of the primer being used. Necessary priming should be completed with P-100 Acrylic or P-200 Epoxy primer for non-porous, difficult to attach substrate and variable depth contiguous areas over larger substrates.Poz-Patch 2 is ideal as an interior or exterior underlayment for surfaces to be covered with carpeting, vinyl, ceramic tile, wood flooring and other compatible coverings when faster-set and increased flexural strength is desirable.
LIMITATIONS: Apply only at temperatures between 40 degrees F and 95 degrees F. Do not use over unstable materials. Do not allow liquid latex emulsion to freeze.
SURFACE PREPARATION: Poz-Patch 2 bonds to primed surfaces. Substrates must be sound, solid, clean and free from dust, oil, grease, curing agents, bond breakers, paint, wax sealers or any deleterious substance which may act as a bond barrier. Wooden subfloors should be sanded and vacuumed to obtain a clear surface, with a a minimum of deflection.
